ALL ABOUT CALISTOGA GROWERS

Calistoga Growers grew out of a love for organic food growing and a mission to transform the city's unused spaces such as rooftops into gardens.  These spaces are beneficial in many ways,  providing food for humans + pollinators, cooling buildings, creating beautiful and productive spaces.

With 10 years experience in horticulture, founder Ruth Arnott began by volunteering on organic farms and vineyards in California, Oregon and New Zealand.  She went on to work for UK commercial organic vegetable farms and glasshouses, growing and harvesting for veg box schemes, supermarkets, restaurants and local markets. In London from 2013, she designed, created and built community food growing projects for local authorities and charities, teaching adults and children how to grow organic vegetables and fruit.  For the past 3 years she and her team have worked with a Business Improvement District designing and maintaining roof gardens on prominent hotels and businesses in central London, in addition to private roof gardens in the city.
